An Ode to Clouds (ft. crappy midwest weather)

Once there was a sun that burned merrily in the sky
It exists
If only by occluded visage.

Once there were stars that whispered angel’s names
       They remain
If only in distant memory.

Wet, sopping, nagging clouds
       Laden with dismal gray
       Melancholia
Are all that greet the new day.

I don’t know about anyone else, but here in Missouri, I feel like I haven’t seen the sun in weeks…c’est la vie.
